Welcome to the project! To make your immersion into the game world as comfortable and clear as possible, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the basic terms and rules that all players use. This guide will help you get settled faster and avoid unpleasant situations.
1. Basics of Role Play (RP)
At the core of everything lies the concept of role play. This means that your character is a person with their own personality, living in a virtual world.
- RolePlay (RP) — role-playing. Your character behaves as a real person would in a given situation. You act on behalf of the character, not yourself.
- NonRolePlay (NonRP) — unrealistic behavior. Actions that the character could not perform in real life (for example, running around the city with a chainsaw or jumping off a skyscraper and surviving). This is a violation of the main game mode.
- OOC (Out Of Character) — information from the real world (discussing game settings, computer problems, personal topics). This information cannot be used in the game chat. There is a special NonRP chat (command /n) or the organization radio (/r (( text ))) for this.
- IC (In Character) — information that concerns exclusively the game world. Everything your character says or does belongs to the IC chat.
2. Terminology: Names of player actions
To denote actions that violate realism or rules, the following terms are used:
- MetaGaming (MG) — using information obtained from the real world (OOC) in the game process. Example: You saw a player's nickname above their head and found out that they are hiding in the forest, although your character did not see them there.
- DeathMatch (DM) — killing or damaging another player without a valid in-game reason (for example, just for fun, out of hooligan motives).
- DriveBy (DB) — killing or attempting to kill using a vehicle (running over a pedestrian or shooting someone from a car window).
- PowerGaming (PG)— attributing superpowers or unavoidable actions to your character.
- Bad: "/me twists arms and knocks out with a blow" (you decide for another player that they got knocked out).
- Good: "/me attempts to twist arms". The player uses /try, and the result is determined by random.
- BunnyHopping (BH) — running and jumping simultaneously (hopping walk) to speed up movement. The character is not a kangaroo, so this is not allowed.
- SpawnKill (SK) — killing a player immediately after they appear in the game (at spawn), when they cannot defend themselves yet.
- RevengeKill (RK) — revenge for a kill. Example: You were killed, you spawned at the hospital, immediately found the offender and killed them in retaliation.
- TeamKill (TK) — killing a member of your own organization or allies.
- CharacterKill (CK) — "character kill". This means that your character dies finally and irrevocably. A complete change of biography, appearance, and name is required. Performed only with the consent of administration or in special role-play situations.
- WheelieHopping (WH) — jumping on a motorcycle, bicycle, or scooter in a stunt style.
3. Punishments from Administration
If you violate the rules, the administration may apply the following sanctions to you:
- Slap — a light warning, usually used to "push" the character out of textures or for a minor violation.
- Kick — forced disconnection from the server. You will be able to log in again, but the violation will be recorded.
- Mute — you are deprived of the ability to write in the game (IC) chat for a certain time.
- Jail / Detention — your character is sent to a jail cell for a certain period. A lawyer cannot release you.
- Warn — a serious punishment that affects your reputation. After receiving a warn, you are automatically fired from the organization and cannot join a new one for 10 days.
- Ban — you are deprived of access to the game for a certain period (from several days to indefinitely).
4. Communication and Chat Rules
- Flood — sending a large number of repetitive or meaningless messages in a row.
- Spam / Advertising — distribution of links and mentions of other projects, websites, or servers. Strictly prohibited!
- Caps — writing messages IN UPPERCASE LETTERS (shouting in chat is not allowed).
- Translit — writing Russian words with English letters (for example, "privet kak dela").
5. RP Nickname (Character Name)
There are strict rules for creating your character's name. It must be in the format Firstname_Lastname (for example, John_Smith or Elena_Volkova).
It is forbidden to use in names:
- Nicknames and aliases (Tawer, Killer, Star).
- Animal names and cartoon character names (Sharik, Shrek, Batman).
- Names of food, objects, and substances (Chocolate, Tazik, Stvol).
- Profanity and insults.
- Prefixes that are not part of the name (Old, Big, Little, Doctor) — unless justified by a deep character backstory (requires approval).
- Prefixes "Mc" or "Mac" with words that are not surnames (McDrug, MacCar).
- Names written in caps (DANIEL_PLAZA).
6. Contacting Administration (Reports)
If you encounter a violator or have a question about the game, use the special section. Do not write in the general chat.
How to submit a report:
- Open the main menu (command /mn).
- Select the item "Contact administration" (or use the command /report in chat).
- Write the violator's ID and the nature of the violation.
Correct:
- id 25 DM at the airport
- id 107 MG, uses OOC info
- id 3 insults players
Incorrect:
- Admins, are you here?
- Give me money and a car!
- When will the event be?
- Hello everyone!
Important: What is forbidden when communicating with Administration
- Flood (sending the same thing many times).
- Insult players, admins, or the project.
- Criticize administration actions in the report chat (there is a special section on the forum for this).
- Write in caps or translit.
Reminder
- If an administrator has given you a punishment and you consider it unfair, do not argue in the game. Leave a complaint on the forum in the "Complaints against administration" section.
- If you find an error in the game mod (not a texture glitch), report it to the support service on the forum, describing the situation in detail.
- If you are filing a complaint against a player and there is no administrator online, be sure to record a video of the violation and attach it to the complaint on the forum. Video is the best evidence.
